The major historical moments of Adam's collaboration with the remaining active members of QUEEN are already coverted in their own Full Circle Moment section. In this section, we offer some additional highlights that are not part of Full Circle arcs, but are still worth seeing and hearing.
Before the start of the 2014 North American tour, QUEEN + Adam Lambert performed a mini-concert in the iHeart Radio Theatre in Los Angeles on July 16, 2014. The ballad version of the song "Love Kills" was included in the show and the subsequent tour as a promo for the upcoming "QUEEN Forever" album. This first performance remains a must-see not only because it was recorded professionally, but also because it is still one of the finest takes on the song.
At the end of 2014, QUEEN + Adam Lambert had finished their first North American tour and were preparing to start a tour of Europe and the UK in early 2015. As part of the promotion for the UK leg of the tour, the band performed the New Year's Eve concert "QUEEN + Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben" for the BBC. This was a 39 years-long Full Circle Moment arc for the band QUEEN, as this was their first live concert on the BBC since 1975!
On January 1st 2015, "Adam Lambert" became the most searched term on Google in the UK.
The song "I Was Born To Love You" is highly popular in Japan, so QUEEN + Adam Lambert performed it only a few times during their concerts there. Thankfully, a professional recording of the SummerSonic Festival on August 17, 2014 shot for TV broadcast was eventually released on BluRay, so we can now enjoy a relatively rare and very beautiful performance in excellent picture and sound quality:
On February 24, 2019, QUEEN + Adam Lambert opened the first hostless Oscars telecast in 30 years by performing We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. This was a Global First for both QUEEN and Adam, as no rock group had ever opened the Oscars before, and obviously it was Adam's first time at the Academy Awards. While it is tracked in our main Chart, we don't believe it warrants a separate page, so we are rolling it up together with the rest of the QUEEN + Adam Lambert Essentials here...
