The Kennedy Center Honors 2018 took place on December 2, 2018 in Washington, DC. It celebrated the lifetime achievements of Cher, composer Philip Glass, country music star Reba McEntire and jazz icon Wayne Shorter. The Kennedy Center also presented a new award to the co-creators of "Hamilton," calling them trailblazing creators of a transformative work.
The recording of the show was broadcast by CBS television on December 26, 2018.
The broadcast date is also the end point of a Full Circle Moment arc - Adam was invited to reprise his show-stopping reimagined, slowed-down version of Cher's song "Believe".
