First Openly Gay Artist To Launch Career On Major US Label

On November 23, 2009, Adam became the first openly gay recording artist to launch a career on a major US label (Sony RCA) by releasing his debut album "For Your Entertainment".

He came out "officially" to the media in his June 2009 Rolling Stone interview, having been out and proud since around 2000.
