First American Idol Contestant To Return As A Judge

On September 17, 2014, Adam returned to American Idol to stand in for Keith Urban who was in Australia to attend the funeral of his father-in-law. The recording of this New York audition round was broadcast on January 15, 2015.

It included a re-staging of Adam's audition performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" for the entertainment of Harry Connick Jr. and JLo.
